Memories

Memories. We all have them, we all want to create them.

And moreover, we want to preserve them - if they are good ones.

The easiest way of course is to take a picture. But once everybody is gone that  knew of the picture and what it showed, the story behind it fades away as well.

I know just half the people on this picture, and I do not know the story around it when it was created or why. Everybody that could tell me is long gone. Nethertheless it is a treasured memorabilia passed on from my grandmother to my mother and to me.

That's where I come in. Let me explain.

Memories are not only captivated in photographs, but they also attach themselves to things.

Things and Objects you used, that were situated in a home you grew up in, or once knew very well. Objects that have been part of everyday rituals.

Things that take you back in time to moments you cherished. Maybe to places that don't exist anymore, that changed forever.

So what can we do?

“There are some things you can’t forget. Memories of people and things that have shaped your life. They’re part of who you are.”

– Jocelyn Murray.

Right, we try to remember them. Keep them close.

Listen, I am not telling you to cling to the past, but some special memories are keepers!

So how do we preserve memories in a way that fits our modern lifestyle or even has  an interactive element incorporated as well? I do have a solution for that.

That's where the TIN CAN PROJECT comes into play. I listen to your story, and then I will individually find a way with you to preserve one or as many memories as you wish from you. This could be various things.

Let me give you some examples:

It could be a book with your favorite family stories, recipes, and cherished pictures.

It could also be a card game where you actively pass on memories or family stories to the next generation. For instance, you might have inherited something from a loved one and now don't know what to do with it - so we recycle it to fit your needs without losing the memory attached to it. Or, if you want to share something you inherited, we can turn it into something shareable for all of the family. Additionally, we can create a diorama in a tin can for you!

So you see, as individual as your beloved memory, as individual is the object, book, or media that could come out of it.

So let's talk about the thing or place or day or memory you wanna preserve to pass it on and see what would fit to you individually.

So let's get talking and make some memorabilia.
